The Center of Athens is composed
of many neighbourhoods such as the Syntagma
Square, the Omonia Square, Kolonaki, Lykavitos
hill and others
Syntagma is the central
square of Athens and is situated in front
of the Parliament building, near the National
Gardens, Plaka and the shopping Street of
Ermou. There you will find the Tomb of the
Unknown Soldier which is guarded by the
famous Evzones.
Omonia is one of the central
squares of Athens. It is one of the busiest
areas of Athens. The Square is surrounded
by many shopping hubs.
Kolonaki is the expensive
and chic neighbour of the city. The area
offers many luxury shops, art galleries
and café-bars.
Lykavitos hill is the highest
point in Athens rising 270 metres above
the city. It is a pine covered hill visible
from every part of the city and offering
a panoramic view over the city, the surroundings
mountains, the port of Piraeus and even
the islands of Salamina and Aegina.
